Brent A. Parker A.I.A. Architect - President Brent A. Parker, A.I.A.. received a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Florida in 1973. He is a registered architect in Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Ohio, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Kentucky, Ohio and Texas, and holds a national NCARB certificate.Mr. Parker became a resident of Sarasota upon graduation, commencing his internship. The following year he took the national registration exams, passing all parts on the first attempt. In 1979 he joined a partnership, where he remained until 1982, when he founded his own firm, Parker Group, Inc. During those years he lead the firms efforts, pushing it forward into the technology based information age while undertaking a unique mix of projects.He concentrated the firm's work in the commercial and residential sectors. His firm completed commercial and retail facilities, retirement facilities, churches, banks and clubs, and hundreds of restaurants and some very unique industrial projects. He has also led his firm into the multi-family markets, both workforce and luxury. Mr. Parker has also personally developed projects, as his own client, expanding his understanding of the client's needs.In 1996 he merged the firm with Thomas R. Walter & Associates, forming Parker Walter Group, Inc.Mr. Parker resides on Golden Gate Point, and is the past president of the Golden Gate Point Neighborhood Association. He is presently spearheading that association in a major 5.8 million re-construction of the neighborhood's streetscape.Mr. Parker is a member of the Gulf Coast Chapter of the American Institute of Architects. Mr. Parker also enjoys other outside interests in technology, computers, investments and flying. He is a commercial pilot and uses his own aircraft in business travel throughout the eastern United States.
